Synchronization error: An error occurred during synchronization. If you have tried to sync teams to this computer that were entered on another computer, you must sync this handheld to the computer that the teams were entered on.
Before the software is installed on a new desktop computer, any data on the handheld computer should be synchronized with the original desktop computer. In addition, all teams should be unselected in the Team List on the desktop computer and a second synchronization should be performed. This will then remove all data from the application on the handheld computer, which will allow the program to work with the application on the new desktop computer.
Follow the instructions below if you are receiving this error. Please note that there are separate instructions for Palm and Pocket PC users.
Palm users:
1) Delete the handheld application.
- On the handheld computer home screen, tap on the drop-down menu icon (directly below the house icon).
- Tap Delete.
- Locate the product you need to delete.
- Tap on the product.
- Tap Delete.
- Tap Yes.
2) Reinstall the handheld application (from the new computer).
- Open the Statware program on the desktop computer.
- Click Tools. Go to Utilities, then go to Palm Utilities, and click Install Palm Application.
- Read the message. If you choose Yes, the handheld install tool will launch. Select your handheld username from the drop-down list and click OK. You must select the username of the handheld computer you are installing the application on. (If you are unsure of the username, turn the handheld computer on and tap on the HotSync icon. The username is located in the upper right corner.)
- Click the "X" (in the upper right) or Done.
- Perform a HotSync. The application should now be reinstalled on the handheld computer.
Pocket PC users:
1) Delete the handheld application.
- On the handheld computer home screen, tap Start.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap System (at the bottom of the screen).
- Tap Remove Programs.
- Locate the product you need to delete.
- Tap on the product.
- Tap Remove.
- Tap Yes.
2) Reinstall the handheld application (from the new computer).
- Open the Statware program on the desktop computer.
- Click Tools. Go to Utilities, then go to Pocket PC Utilities, and click Install Pocket PC Application.
- Read the message. If you choose Yes, the handheld install tool will launch.
- Follow the instructions. If you are asked to install / repair Microsoft SQL Mobile and / or Microsoft .NET Compact Framework (CF), choose Yes.
- Click Finish at the end of the installation process.
- The Statware program will transfer to the handheld computer. It should now be reinstalled on the handheld computer.
